Genito-Urinary Medicine - GUM clinic in London providing comprehensive reproductive health services. We offer a mixture of walk-in clinics and appointment clinics. Our services include: treatment and information about intimatelly transmitted diseases and genito-urinary infections (STI / STD tests); assessment of other genital symptoms/problems and checking for signs of infection; private-parts health advice and counselling for privacy problems; emergency contraception, free condoms, lubricants; safer loving information; HIV antibody testing including rapid HIV tests; comprehensive AIDS / HIV outpatient medical care; testing and vaccination for hepatitis in individuals at risk; designated walk-in young persons clinic - relationship health advice, screening and information for teenagers.
The service is open-access or self-referral which means you do not need to be referred from your GP or anyone else. All services within the GUM Clinic are anonymous and confidential. The information we collect will be held in the strictest confidence. Your notes are not circulated to other hospital departments.
The GUM Clinic is located in South West London, near Putney, Barnes, Richmond, Wandsworth, Kingston and Hammersmith
Free STD Testing - The Clinic is equipped to check for the following transmitted and non-transmissible infections: candida, chlamydia, gonorrhoea, herpes, HIV, molluscum, NSU, PID, syphilis, trichomonas, warts. Testing and vaccination for Hepatitis - may be offered to individuals at specific risk. The AIDS/HIV test can only be only carried out after an informed discussion and your consent. Rapid HIV Testing is also available upon request, please inform the receptionist. Test results are available in 30 minutes.
Marital Health - Family Planning Clinics are available during the evenings, they are walk-in and open access - no appointment needed. A full range of contraception and emergency contraception is available, as well as pregnancy test.
