Association Vittfarne
The Swedish viking association Vittfarne has now initiated the planning process to make a scientific expedition with a replica of a viking ship to search for a place named Vinland discribed in the viking saga, probably located in New Foundland in Canada.
The expedition starts from Stockholm and several countries will be visited along the route. From the discussions it seems clear that Norway, Iceland, Greenland will be visited, but Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Ireland and Scotland could also be of interest.
The journey will be carried out summertime and will take four years to accomplish. Crew members will be needed.
